The image to the left is a product of photoshops cut and paste tools, along with the quick mask mode to aquire the basic feather shape used in the photoshop logo.Then it was simply a case of playing with duplicate layers and using filters such as angled strokes, pastel, lens blur and motion blur. Lighting effects using two different channels created using the original shapes and the gradient tool, along with add noise and motion blur to create extra texture.

You find different uses for the same basic tricks throughout the site. Hopefully it will inspire more people to delve deep into the wonderful world that is photoshop, long may it be our faithful slave.
